- I'm Brett's mom, first and foremost. I always will be, even though he no longer shares this earth with me. He was the most important person in my life, the light of my life, and always will be. I will continue my fight for the regulation of Salvia Divinorum, and to have "Brett's Law" passed across the nation as it was in Delaware in 2006. Sadly it seems as if bringing attention to the dangers of salvia was Brett's reason for being on this earth, and unfortunately it is his legacy. I know Brett would want me to let everyone know the real reason for his death, no matter how difficult it may be for me. I'm a fighter, a champion of the truth, something Brett knew absolutely. We come from a long line of patriots, all the way back to the Declaration of Independence (something Brett was very proud of). We don't back down, we don't quit and like Brett, we never, ever give up. Please remember "Brett's Law" and never, every forget our dear, sweet Brett.
